About Dr. White
Dr. Misty White is a Naturopathic Physician. She graduated with Honors from the National College of Natural Medicine. She recently completed a second year residency at NCNM. Her first year of residency was at the Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine with Dr. Kirti Kalidas M.D., N.D. She is now practicing privately at Northwest Natural Medicine in Milwaukie, Oregon, and as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the NCNM Clinic in Portland, Oregon.
Her bachelor's degree is in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. The background in Neuroscience has fostered a passion for understanding how the brain, hormones, emotions, and immune system work together. While at UCSD, she worked at the student-owned Food Co-op. In her four years there, she was introduced to the importance of healthy food options. Not only are such choices crucial to the health of the individual, but to the health of the planet as well.
During her two years of Residency, Dr. White has received extensive training in a wide variety of areas. Through conferences and patient care, she has gained experience in treating Cardiovascular disease, Toxicity from heavy metals like lead and mercury, Nutritional deficiencies using IV therapy, and co-managing Cancer patients. Dr. White has attended multiple conferences with the American Academy for the Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) and practices medicine that integrates the best of conventional and alternative care.
Dr. White is passionate about treating her patients in a comprehensive, holistic manner. She will listen with compassion and develop a treatment protocol that is tailored to the uniqueness of each individual.
